.As we wind down 2022, and the first full year of Good Measure Productions<\/a><\/strong> making an impact in the world, we wanted to highlight some of our favourite GMP moments and some of the fantastic partners we have worked with:
<\/span><\/p>\n

  1. Last of the Right Whales<\/i><\/b><\/a>, by Director\/Producer Nadine Pequeneza, making a splash at the box office during it's theatrical opening and being the #1 Canadian film on #WorldWhaleDay weekend.<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Scrap<\/i><\/b><\/a>, by Director Stacey Tenenbaum, celebrating World Environment Day with a 12-city \u2018Fixer Mixer\u2019 event in Canada & the US with 17 partners in the right-to-repair community.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Peace by Chocolate<\/i><\/b><\/a>, a drama by Director Jonathan Keijser and inspired by a true story about Syrian refugees, invites others in Canada with lived refugee experience to share their stories at screenings across the country opening weekend.<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. At the Hot Docs World Premiere and opening weekend, <\/span>Scrap<\/i><\/b><\/a> partnered with the Canadian National Institute for the Blind (CNIB) to encourage people to donate their old smartphones as part of the <\/span>Phone It Forward<\/b><\/a> program. Keeping ewaste out of landfills and giving people with visual impairments much needed support tools.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  5. Stupid For You<\/i><\/b><\/a>, a romantic comedy by Director\/Writer Jude Klassen, hosts post-screening events with a focus on queer and trans youth in various Canadian cities.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  6. Speaking on a number of <\/span>Last of the Right Whales<\/i><\/b><\/a> post-screening panels to share the filming experiences and insights into critically endangered North Atlantic right whales after co-authoring the film\u2019s discussion guide.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  7. Walking in Toronto\u2019s Pride Parade with <\/span>WIFT-T<\/i><\/b><\/a> in support of LGBTQ2S+ filmmakers<\/span><\/li>\n
  8. Joining the <\/span>THIRD ACTion film festival<\/i><\/b><\/a> in Calgary as they celebrated Seniors and their caregivers on screen.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  9. Being invited to the <\/span>smartWhales conference<\/i><\/b> with Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Transport Canada and the Canadian Space Agency in Moncton, NB to present the impact campaign results for Last of the Right Whales (so far!).\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  10. Giving audiences their first sneak-peek of the upcoming film Everest Dark<\/em><\/strong><\/a> at Sir Edmund Hillary Foundation<\/a>'s Night IN for Nepal<\/em> in support of education at the Zeke O'Connor School that they run in Nepal.
