Good Measure Productions Founder Joins Prestigious Cannes impACT Lab 2025<\/b><\/h2>\n<\/div><\/div>

We\u2019re thrilled to share that the founder of Good Measure Productions was one of just two Canadians selected to take part in the <\/span>impACT Lab 2025<\/span><\/a> at the Cannes Film Festival<\/a> \u2014 a unique and prestigious opportunity that brings together some of the world\u2019s most promising and visionary emerging producers.<\/span><\/p>\n

Organized annually as part of the March\u00e9 du Film, the impACT Lab gathers forward-thinking experts and rising producers from around the world for an intensive series of workshops, group sessions, and one-on-one mentorship. The goal? To foster meaningful international co-production opportunities and equip producers to create socially impactful, globally resonant films.<\/span><\/p>\n

The lab promotes core values that are deeply aligned with our mission at Good Measure Productions: <\/span>diversity, inclusion, representation, sustainability, and equity<\/b>. Over several days in Cannes, participants explored critical topics ranging from sustainable production practices to creative producing for impact.<\/span><\/p>\n

Each day featured dynamic two-hour workshops led by inspiring mentors like filmmaker and showrunner <\/span>Avril Speaks<\/span><\/a>, <\/span>Danielle Turkov<\/span> and <\/span>Amy Shepard<\/span> from Think-Film Impact Production<\/a>, and <\/span>Ludovica Chiarini<\/span>, CEO of Ecomuvi<\/a>. Their insights and passion left a lasting mark on every participant, sparking conversations that we\u2019re excited to continue long after Cannes.<\/span><\/p>\n

This year\u2019s cohort brought together brilliant producers from across the globe \u2014 including Uganda, Lebanon, Germany, Italy, Norway, and Canada \u2014 creating space for cross-cultural exchange, artistic collaboration, and new friendships. Special shoutout to our fellow Canadian participant <\/span>Kathy-Ann Thomas<\/span>, whose presence helped make the experience even more special.<\/span><\/p>\n

We extend a heartfelt thank you to <\/span>Telefilm Canada<\/span><\/a> and <\/span>March\u00e9 du Film<\/span><\/a> for making this unforgettable opportunity possible. To be immersed in such a rich, creative environment \u2014 with a shared commitment to storytelling that drives change \u2014 was both energizing and affirming.<\/span><\/p>\n

The work is just beginning, and we\u2019re excited to take what we learned at the impACT Lab and infuse it into everything we do going forward.<\/span><\/p>\n
