Last of the Right Whales Makes A Splash

Marking World Whale Day on Feb 20, Last of the Right Whales opened across Canada and was the #1 Canadian film at the box office that weekend.

Along with the screening, and as part of the impact campaign, there were 7 panels in 6 provinces in St. John’s, Halifax, Moncton, Ottawa, Toronto, Calgary and Vancouver where audiences could hear directly from filmmakers, scientists, researchers, conservationists and NGO partners about the film and the work being done to support critically endangered North Atlantic right whales.

Good Measure Productions‘ Sholeh Alemi Fabbri took part in a number of panels on opening weekend, including the one above in Toronto with the Royal Ontario Museum‘s Jacqueline Miller, WWF Canada‘s Farheen Kadwa and Jennifer Hollett from The Walrus moderating.
