Good Measure Productions Named Finalist in Anthem Awards for Plastic People: The Hidden Crisis of Microplastics

Toronto, October 14, 2025 – Good Measure Productions is thrilled to announce that it has been named a Finalist in the 5th Annual Anthem Awards in the Media Impact Campaign, Awareness Categories, Sustainability, Environment & Climate for its groundbreaking work on the documentary Plastic People: The Hidden Crisis of Microplastics.

Directed by Ben Addelman and Ziya Tong, Plastic People exposes the hidden dangers of microplastics, reframing them as a global public health crisis rather than just an environmental concern. The impact campaign partnered with 18 leading organizations, including Break Free From Plastics, Plastic Pollution Coalition, World Wildlife Fund, Environmental Defence, Oceana Canada, and the Canadian Association of Physicians for the Environment, achieving measurable real-world results across nearly 30 countries.

“It has been deeply rewarding to see our work help shift the global dialogue on microplastics from an environmental concern to a pressing human health issue,” said Sholeh Alemi Fabbri, founder of Good Measure Productions. “Our collaborations with filmmakers and impact partners have ensured that Plastic People reaches communities worldwide.”

Anthem Awards Recognize Purpose-Driven Impact

The Anthem Awards, presented by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences (IADAS), honour campaigns and organizations that drive meaningful social and environmental change. This year’s Anthem Award Finalists were selected from over 2,000 submissions from 42 countries by IADAS. Past winners have tackled issues from climate action to diversity, equity, and inclusion. This year, the awards include leaders from global organizations such as IKEA, PepsiCo, and the American Heart Association.

Supporters can also vote for Good Measure Productions in the Anthem Community Voice campaign from October 14–30 at celebrate.anthemawards.com for a second chance for the campaign to be recognized. 

Winners for the 5th Annual Anthem Awards will be announced on November 18, 2025.
