Recently, Story Money Impact hosted a webinar bringing together three leading impact producers to share real-world case studies from Canadian documentary campaigns. Among them was Good Measure Productions founder Sholeh Alemi Fabbri, who spoke about her work on the impact campaign for Plastic People: The Hidden Crisis of Microplastics.

The session explored different strategies for connecting films with audiences in meaningful, action-driven ways. Sholeh’s case study highlighted how Plastic People sparked national dialogue around environmental health and policy — and how targeted partnerships, screenings, and educational outreach helped extend the film’s reach far beyond its original release.

Also featured were Chrisann Hessing of Culture Shift Media and impact strategist Leena Minifie of Stories First, each offering unique perspectives on engaging communities through film.

Thanks to Story Money Impact and Executive Director Sue Biely (pictured above with Sholeh), for the invitation to take part in the first part of the series and for supporting this important conversation around storytelling and social change.
